Spicy Honey Bourbon Pig Shots
Ingredients
1 pack - Pork Bratwurst (cut into 1/2" slices)
2 packs - Bacon (cut each piece in half)
12 oz - Cream Cheese
3 tbsp - Sour Cream
1 cup - Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
1 tbsp - Diced Jalapeño
Sliced Jalapeño
BBQ Rub
Glaze
1/8 cup - Bourbon
1/4 cup - Maple Syrup
1/4 cup - Honey
Simmer until well combined.
Directions
Wrap the bratwursts with bacon to create a shot glass affect, holding it together with a toothpick. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, mix together sour cream, cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, and jalapeño (leave out the jalapeño if don't want as much spice).
Fill each Pig Shot with the cream cheese mixture and top each one with a slice of jalapeño.
Season with your favorite BBQ Rub.
Turn on the smoker to 250 degrees and smoke the Pig Shots for 3 hours, basting them every 15 mins with the Maple Honey Bourbon glaze. Smoke until the sausage is cooked through or until you reach your desired temperature of the bacon.
